A Culinary Journey Fueled by Purpose and Precision

For Chef Jake Yates, cooking began long before the title. As a child, he found joy in preparing simple meals for his mother while his father was deployed — early moments that sparked a passion for food and creativity. That passion grew into a dream during his teenage years in Australia, where he completed culinary internships and imagined a future in a white chef’s coat.

But like many, Jake initially put stability before passion. At 18, he joined the U.S. Air Force — seeking adventure, structure, and growth. While his military service did not involve cooking, it shaped something just as essential: the discipline, work ethic, and calm under pressure that now define his approach in the kitchen.

From Calling to Craft

 

Jake’s time in the military taught him perseverance. But it also reminded him what he was meant to do. Even in uniform, the pull toward food never faded. After his service, Jake trained in professional kitchens in both Boston and New York, where he refined his technique and began cooking for exclusive clients.

Today, he channels that full spectrum of experience — personal  and professional — into a highly tailored private chef service built on trust, precision, and remarkable food.
